The Home Care Agency

Messaging Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 9, 2026

This Messaging Privacy Policy explains how The Home Care Agency (“The Home Care Agency,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects and uses information in connection with our text-messaging (SMS) program. It supplements our general Privacy Policy; where the two differ regarding text messaging, this policy controls. For the rules that govern the messaging program itself, see our SMS Terms & Conditions.

1. Information We Collect for Messaging

When you opt in to our text-messaging program, we collect your mobile phone number, the fact and timestamp of your consent, and the content of messages you exchange with us. We may also collect your name and the other details you provide on our form so we can respond to your care request.

2. How We Use Your Mobile Information

We use your mobile number and SMS consent to:

  • Text you to let you know we will reach out about your care request;
  • Send follow-up messages if we are unable to reach you by phone;
  • Help schedule or complete the request you submitted;
  • Respond to HELP requests and process STOP opt-outs; and
  • Keep records of consent as required by law.

Message frequency: message frequency varies, and you will receive up to 4 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply.

3. We Do Not Sell or Share Mobile Opt-In Data

We do not share or sell mobile opt-in information, SMS consent, or text-messaging originator data with any third parties, affiliates, or lead generators. This information is used only by The Home Care Agency to send you the text messages described above; it is never shared, rented, sold, or transferred for any other party’s marketing or promotional purposes.

Separately, when you ask us to match you with a licensed home care agency, we provide your contact details to that agency so it can reach you by phone to help with the care you requested. That is part of fulfilling the request you submitted — it is not a sale or transfer of your SMS opt-in, and the matched agency does not receive your text-messaging consent or use it to add you to its own messaging program. We also use service providers (such as our messaging platform and CRM) that process this information only on our behalf and only to operate our messaging program.

4. Your Choices

You can stop receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help. You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information by contacting us using the details below.

5. Retention & Security

We retain mobile information and consent records for as long as needed to operate the messaging program, comply with our legal obligations, and resolve disputes. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect this information, though no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Messaging Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above.
